A design studio built for the age of answers
People no longer only search. They ask. AI systems now summarise, compare, and recommend businesses before a customer ever lands on a website. An AI-first design studio builds for that reality from the first wireframe.
Definition
An AI-first design studio designs websites for two readers at once: the human deciding whether to trust a business, and the AI system deciding whether to cite or recommend it. Structure, entities, and machine-readable meaning are treated as design decisions, with the same care as typography and layout.
Two readings / one object, read twice
Why the design brief changed
A website used to have one job: convince the person looking at it. That reader is still here, but a second one arrived. Search engines became answer engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews read websites, assemble an understanding of the business behind them, and repeat that understanding to customers in their own words.
The second reader does not see the animation, the photography, or the polish. It reads the underlying document: what the page is called, how it is organised, what it claims, and what it links to. A site can be beautiful for the first reader and fog for the second. When that happens, the business disappears from the conversations where buying decisions increasingly start.
AI-first design closes that gap without sacrificing craft. The visual layer stays editorial and premium. Underneath it, the structure is deliberate: one clear claim per section, a heading tree a machine can follow, structured data that names the business, its category, its founder, and its proof.
The second reader is more literal than people expect
Vercel instrumented AI crawler traffic across its network and found that the crawlers behind ChatGPT and Claude do request JavaScript files, ChatGPT on 11.50% of requests and Claude on 23.84%, but never run them. Anything that only exists after a page hydrates is invisible to them.
Google is the exception rather than the rule, and even Google's own documentation recommends not relying on it: "server-side or pre-rendering is still a great idea because it makes your website faster for users and crawlers, and not all bots can run JavaScript."
So a site can be beautifully engineered and still hand most of its machine audience an empty page. That is a structural problem rather than a design one, and it takes about a minute to check with the readability checker.
"They don't execute them. They can't read client-side rendered content."
The same page has to satisfy a person deciding whether to trust you and a machine deciding whether to quote you.

Aggarwal et al., GEO, KDD 2024How Reidify works
Reidify is an AI-first design and systems studio in Mumbai, founder-operated by Rish Sadh, working with clients internationally. Every build runs on one line: designed for humans, structured for AI.
In practice that means the process starts with meaning before pixels: the category the business owns, the audience it serves, the proof it can show. That structure becomes the information architecture, then the interface. Semantic HTML, schema markup, and answer-ready copy ship as part of the design, not as an afterthought bolted on by an SEO tool.
The same thinking extends past websites into AI systems: command centres, workflow systems, and business memory layers that keep the business as legible to its own tools as its website is to the outside world. The work spans India, Germany, and France.
| Approach | What it optimises | What it misses |
|---|---|---|
| Traditional agency site | Visual impression and brand feel | Machine legibility; the site reads as fog to answer engines |
| SEO-led template | Keywords and rankings | Trust, craft, and the entity clarity AI systems now weigh |
| AI-first build | Both readers at once: human trust and machine legibility | Nothing by design; it costs more thought up front |
Common questions
What does AI-first design actually mean?
It means the website is designed for two readers from the first wireframe: the person deciding whether to trust you, and the AI system deciding whether to cite or recommend you. Structure, headings, entities, and schema are design decisions, not afterthoughts.
Is AI-first design the same as adding a chatbot?
No. Bolting AI features onto a site is AI-enabled at best. AI-first means the site itself is legible to AI systems: clear category, clear audience, machine-readable structure, and claims that can be lifted into an answer accurately.
Does AI-first design compromise how a site looks?
No. Structure and craft are separate layers. Reidify builds editorial, premium interfaces; the AI-readable layer lives in semantic HTML, heading hierarchy, and structured data underneath the visual design.
Who needs an AI-first website?
Any business that customers might find through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or an AI agent doing research. That is a growing share of every market, and founder-led businesses feel it first because they cannot outspend bigger competitors on ads.
